In 2020 I attended the Unreal Fellowship for a crash course in this amazing technology.
The development of interactive worlds is still my favorite creative outlet. Inventing entire worlds or interactive characters, props, or anything else within a virtual world is technically complex. But it also tends to be artistically rewarding.
For the interactive Canoe Project, I developed not only the visuals but also dozens of animations to give paddling a naturalistic feel. A set of fairly complex scripts allows for a canoe-like behavior when steering with the keyboard.
